A question about a technique, a correction, a regional custom we haven’t covered, a photo of your nativity: write to us. We read every message and we reply. You can use the form below or email us directly at [email protected].

Adding an event or a Christmas market? Use our event form instead: it takes about 3 minutes and you can send a poster and photos. Add it here, free →

Before you write

Two pages already answer most of the questions we get:

  • The FAQ: dates, customs, choosing santons, and the most common building problems.
  • The glossary: if you’re stuck on a word you saw at a santon maker’s shop or in a description.

If your question is about a specific technique, tell us the size of your santons (or figures) and of your nativity: almost every answer depends on them.

The form

The form below asks for your name, your email address, one quick multiple-choice question and your message.

We usually reply within a few days. In December it takes longer, since that’s when everyone is building their nativity at once.

So we can reply to you.
Tell us in a few words what brings you here.

Sending photos

If you’d like your nativity to appear in one of our guides, the Share your nativity page lets you upload photos and explains how to photograph a nativity. Two things to know:

  • You keep your rights. By sending a photo, you give us permission to publish it on this site and our social media, with your name credited, and nothing more. We don’t sell it or share it with anyone else.
  • We credit you with the name or nickname you give us. If you’d rather stay anonymous, just say so.

For the best photos, shoot in low light, at the level of the nativity rather than from above, with the nativity lights on and the overhead light off. That’s how it’s meant to be seen.
